It's a cruise through the water-way, separating the two continents, Asia and Europe, with a possibility to take photographs of marble palaces, ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture besides modern residentials and luxurious apartments. Visit the Spice Bazar /Egyptian Bazar/. Mystical smells of different aromas of various spices. Shops selling fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish etc. /extra tour 23 euros/.  Free time for shopping.

Sunny beach - Varna, Aladzha, Dolphins show

Balchik is a town of steep cobbled lanes flanked by quaint whitewashed and terracotta-tile-roofed cottages set below white chalk cliffs. An early Roman town closer to the shoreline was wiped out by a tidal wave, probably caused by an earthquake on an Aegean or Turkish fault line , so 'new' Balchik was rebuilt at a higher elevation in the 7th century AD. In 1913 the region around the town was annexed by Romania. It returned to Bulgarian sovereignty in 1940 but this short period of Romanian rule left the town the legacy of its greatest attraction - the Summer Palace of Queen Marie.

The English born Queen, consort to King Ferdinand of Romania, wanted a retreat from court life and this palace, built in early 1920s, was perfect.Set in 35hectares the palace is made up of several separate modest villas set at different height levels and distance from the sea with a stream, a waterfall and a church all linked by cobbled pathways - rather like a small village. One villa was for the use of the royal couple while others offered space for guests, courtiers and servants. An Italianate garden was planted along the seafront with seating areas to enjoy the views. The botanical gardens that grace the palace grounds were developed in the 1950s and now incorporate over 500 species of plant.

The palace and gardens hosts an annual arts festival in early July.

Sunny beach, Bulgaria

     With one of the widest beach strips, it lies 35 kms from the city of Bourgas.Its construction began in 1958 during Communist times at a site where two old wells that supplied the nearby town of Nessebar with water in ancient times and again during the Middle Ages had been found and tourists flocked to these natural mineral baths. Fresh breeze, warm waters of the sea and plenty of activities is what you will get at the Sunny Beach. 

      There are many attractions for holidaymakers to the resort including sunning at the beach, water sports and a trip to the nearby historical site of Nessebar. Sunny Beach is extremely popular amongst young people for its superb night life. There are two new aqua parks near the resort, the small Aqua-park Kuban which has water-slides and pools, and the much larger Action Aqua-park, on the western edge of the resort, perfect for a day out with the family.

The weather:
The best time to visit Sunny beach is from May to October. The temperature varies from May to October between 21C and 35C. 

Eat & drink:
Sunny Beach has its own brand of local beer apart from most international labels. The local beer is light and gassy like Fosters and will cost you no more than £1 for half a liter. Food at Sunny Beach varies from Local specialties to exotic and Inter-continental cuisines. Food is relatively cheap and sumptuous. If you love kebabs, then you can choose from the hundreds of bars and restaurants that offer buy one and get one free. There are a few up market restaurants that offer different cuisines and cater to different tastes.

The beach:
As the name suggests Sunny beach offers 1700 hours of sunshine and has nice and soft golden sands, which is hot during the day and cool during the night. The waters here are calm and clear, which makes it ideal for beginners and childrens aswell.

10:00 a.m. Pick up from Sunny Beach Hotels 
10:30 a.m. The boat departs from Nessabar Yacht Club and begins a panorama of Old Nessabar and Sunny Beach. Stops on the way for fishing, swimming and champagne diving. During the trip varied events will take place dependent on age group and weather.
13:00 a.m. Arrive at a small secluded bay for a buffet style lunch.
14:30 p.m. Boat lifts anchor and departs on its return journey to Nessebar. On the way stopping for swimming and competitions and more games.
15:30 p.m. Arrival at Nessabar Yacht Club where coaches wait for return to Sunny Beach

How to get to Sunny beach from Sofia

Hello all holidaymakers, 

The cheap way from Sofia to Sunny beach is by train. Note that trains are too old and slow. The journey takes about 6-7 hours. The nearest train station to Sunny Beach is in Bourgas, so you would need to get a taxi from there to Sunny Beach. Train cost 20-23 levs to Bourgas Taxi cost not more than 70 leva from Bourgas train station to Sunny beach. Try the Bulgarian Railway Website:

I would say the best option is the coach. After arriving in Sofia, take a taxi to the Airport Best to go to the OK taxi Should cost you about 14 lev from bus / train station to Airport Also you can take a bus number 84 to hotel Pliska than another one to Main bus station.
